‘Roots of The Window Box’

The origin of  ‘Roots of The Window Box’ is the first prayer Jeanine’s Mom taught her about 75 years ago:

“Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.”

‘Holy, Holy, Holy!’

From Hebrews 8:19, Micah 4:6-7 and Revelation 1:8 based on the founding Scriptures of The Gate Community Church in Franklin Tennessee: Translated into Hebrew and 6th Century Roman Half-uncial executed on 18” x 24” Strathmore paper (characteristically reminiscent of having qualities similar to a sheep skin used for lettering the ancient writs in the early centuries after the Savior’s death and Resurrection). The back ground is the ‘Etz Chaim,’ ‘The Tree of Life.’ In Hebrew … this is The Torah or known by Christians as The Pentateuch, which is the First Five Books of The Scriptures. It is pictured with roots transitioning from alabaster transitioning into golden. The tree is covered with representations of the various shades of Israel blue. However, note the hints of the ‘berries in red.’ The Etz Chaim can be seen as a ‘precursor to The Cross.’ Those ‘berries in red’ are meant to be prophetic tones of the Blood of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who shed His Own Blood to set us, the captives free once and for all! Done in alabaster white, blues, brown, gold, reds, and sepia India inks. The piece is slightly raised on thin foam board, lying on a black suede mat as an antiquity piece would be shown, encased by a mildly ornate frame – 22” x 28” – to accent the writ’s subtleties with Museum Glass covering.
